Regional or Minority Languages

Our activity seeks to capitalise on the research expertise and teaching strengths in the field of regional or minority languages that already exist at Aberystwyth University spread across academic departments, by pulling them together under one banner. The aim is to establish ourselves as an internationally recognised multi-disciplinary centre of excellence in the field of regional and minority languages.

Lleoli Cymru / Placing Wales

This research theme explores the ways in which Wales is positioned: in time, in space, in representation and in the global context. It draws together academics working in Arts and Humanities, as well as Social Sciences, and aims to promote innovative, interdisciplinary research. As such, the theme spans a range of different approaches, from archival study to creative expression and encompasses the study of material conditions, practices and theory.
