Workshop – Photographs on Independence

Our project uses photography to explore how people think and feel about independence and you can take part in a session in Galeri, Caernarfon on a Saturday in September. This is part of a broader project investigating this topic in Wales, Scotland and Catalonia.

Prior to the session, please take four photographs that reflect how you think and feel about independence. In the session, you will discuss these photographs in a group discussion. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. We would subsequently like to ask you to talk more about your photos and how you think and feel about the issue of independence in an interview with a member of the project team. You will receive practical guidance and more information about the project once you have registered.

This project is non-partisan and does not promote a particular position on independence. We welcome contributions from participants with different viewpoints on independence, as well as from those who have not thought about the issue at all.

The project is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and is part of the ESRC/WISERD Civil Society Research Centre, Aberystwyth University.

You can find more information about our project here.
