The Centre for Welsh Politics and Society at Aberystwyth University hosted its Annual Lecture on the prospects for democratic reform in the United Kingdom.
Leading academic Professor Alan Renwick, Deputy Director of the Constitution Unit at University College London, delivered the lecture entitled “Do the UK Public want Democratic Reform?”.
Professor Renwick presented compelling research findings revealing a deep sense of discontent among the British public regarding the current state of democratic politics.
He argued that the public does want change, and highlighted the need for reforms that could help restore confidence in British democracy.
The lecture provided a thought-provoking platform for attendees to engage in discussions about political reform, and the future shape of British democracy.
