Placing Wales Seminar
The ‘Placing Wales’ group of the Centre for Welsh Politics and Society (Aberystwyth University) is hosting a lunchtime seminar. It brings together two scholars working on travel and language in Wales:
- Monica Kendall:
‘The musical clack of a flock of geese’: Travel guides and the Welsh language in the Romantic period.
- Simon Parsons:
“Soon shall ‘Dim Saesneg’ be a sound gone by.” The Intentions, Attitudes and Expectations of Railway Promoters in Mid and West Wales.
This is an internal Aberystwyth University event, please email cwps@aber.ac.uk to receive the Teams link and abstracts for both papers.
